The Department for Foreign Students is happy to offer free counseling for all those who are already studying at an Austrian university or would like to start studying here. We will help you with problems concerning your residence permit or visa, admission to studies, acquisition of German language skills, questions about tuition fees and other difficulties.

General Counseling for foreign students in German, English and other languages: Counseling by email or in person during the consultation hours. See the individual email addresses below. During Counseling hours you can also call +43/1/310 88 80-65 (Exception: Counseling in Russian takes place via email and additionally only via Skype).
The Department for Foreign Students advocates for and offers:
- Advice and support in case of problems with the university and residence authorities
- Legal advice
- The demand for purely labor market-oriented education of students, which leads to underfunding, devaluation and abolition of studies that do not fit into a marketing scheme.
- Withdrawal of discriminatory measures against foreign students
- Access to the labor market
- Granting of the possibility to remain in Austria even after completion of studies
