BiPol Workshop #4

The education policy department of the ÖH Bundesvertretung organizes a series of workshops and lectures on education policy topics.
In April there will be a lecture on eLearning and copyright. This refers, among other things, to the copyright amendment that came into force on 01.10.2015.
The Copyright Amendment updated the Copyright Act (UrhG) and the Collecting Societies Act (VerwGesG), adapting both to technical developments.

In addition to a general overview of copyright law as a “must-know”, the lecture will primarily deal with those innovations that affect teaching and science. Special attention will be paid to current technologies (e.g. streaming, cloud storage) in order to present a manageable and legal methodology for their use in practice.

The discussion that follows provides an opportunity to discuss existing questions, for example about the situation at your own university.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for further discussion over a cold buffet.
Participation is free of charge and open to all interested persons.

The ÖH Bundesvertretung is easily accessible via U1 Taubstummengasse, U2/U4 Karlsplatz, streetcar line 1 and 62 Paulanergasse. The premises are accessible barrier-free. Unfortunately, there are no accessible toilets. Please contact us for this (bipol@oeh.ac.at).
