There is a difference between the so-called classical study grant and the study grant after self-support (Selbsterhalter_innen-Stipendium).

You can find an overview of the documents you need to enclose with your application in the Guide to Student Aid of the Student Aid Office.

Classical study aid

  1. With the stipendienrechner.at of the AK OÖ and the ÖH stipendienrechner.at you can calculate how much your student aid will be. However, make an application in any case, because the calculation can sometimes differ from the actual result!
  2. Then you need to fill out the forms for student aid. You can find them here. You can either submit your application online or bring it in person or by mail to the appropriate scholarship office.

      • Note: If the parental income of the last calendar year can be fully documented by a pay slip or income tax statement, this can be used in the calculation at your request:(Form FB 09-19).
      • Note: If the income of one or both of your parents in the current calendar year is already 10% lower (or even more) by at least 6 months than in the calendar year before the application was filed (last assessed calendar year), you can use form FB 09-20 to request that the income from the current calendar year be taken into account for one or both parents: (Form FB 09-20).

    • divorced spouse of the spouse of the applicant
    • formerly registered partner after dissolution of the partnership

If you have minor siblings or siblings in education, are married or already have children, you must also complete the

STUDY GRANT AFTER SELF-SUPPORT (SELBSTERHALTER_INNEN-STIPENDIUM)

  • Anyway, for this scholarship you have to fill out the SB 1 form. Also
    • If you are married or living in a registered partnership, the SB 3 form for your partner.
    • If you already have children yourself the form SB 5
    • If you are divorced or have lived in a registered partnership and are dependent on your former partner, fill out form SB 5a.
  • To prove your self-support, you also need the supplement for verification of periods of self-support FB09 – 26.
  • As evidence of your periods of self-support (at least four years) you attach
    • Income tax assessment notices, insofar as they are available, and the relevant income is shown therein
    • Insurance data extract with contribution bases (to be requested via your responsible health insurance company)
    • AMS confirmations of payment (in case of unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance, …) NO notifications
    • Confirmation of receipt from the health insurance fund (in the case of sickness benefit, maternity benefit, childcare benefit)
    • Income tax assessment notices (for income from self-employment, trade, freelance service/contract for work)
    • Proof of foreign income (if applicable)
    • Notices from MA 40 for periods of receipt of means-tested minimum benefits (social assistance)
